You’re absolutely right. We are conditioned to be fast. My first time in Italy it blew my mind that there is a siesta time in the Autobianchi Y10 Turbo Yearling Shirt but in fact I love this middle of the day. It’s part of the social structure here in America. Fast lane to the American Dream. I’m working through this too, and social media like IG and YT shorts doesn’t help. Keeping everyone in survival mode is Machiavellian, helps drive fear narratives too. Yes, a lesson I have been through. I have a very slow natural pace, and I’m willing to bet MOST people are actually being/feeling rushed thru this experience of life. Allow your meditation practice to become how you walk thru this life. Remember time does not limit you, only allows you to experience the things you are here to learn/teach. A few recs: kinda random, but the album by DJ Taz Rashid called High Vibe remixes vol 2., Human design system (uses astrology and other systems to help you understand your energy and how to use it in this life), for a teacher Michael Mirdad-he gives Sunday service with no doctrine/dogma. One of his biggest lessons he speaks on is seeing/understanding the matrix/illusion, while still respecting the matrix/illusion.

Ask any Qs you may have, I really love helping guide people to find more of the Autobianchi Y10 Turbo Yearling Shirt but in fact I love this loving awareness this life has to offer/teach. It’s an American thing. Rush, rush, rush, make money, spend money to keep that capitalist society afloat. It’s soul crushing! Sadly at one point the adults did know a lot and were good leaders for the children but we are a few decades out from that with mass media and social media. You went from people using their time to learn and gain skills to people trying to “kill” time by watching brainless content while simultaneously being dumbed down. You sound like you’re already taking some good steps. Mindfulness, meditation and breathing techniques can help a lot to calm the mind and body. I absolutely have this issue – the “push yourself past your limits and keep going” problem, the “no you have to get everything done NOW” problem. I’m chronically ill with a chronic pain and fatigue disorder so that has really forced me to grapple with that issue because you literally *can’t* live that way with this disorder without making yourself sicker. I think an underlying issue is that we aren’t taught to have any *compassion* for ourselves. We’re in many ways taught to actively be cruel to ourselves, and it shows in how we ignore our health to keep pushing. One of the things I love about meditation is how it helps train us to fix that in ourselves – it’s definitely helped me be more compassionate to myself over time.
