This isn’t actually that bad. Bottom line they’re looking at social media and tracking cellphones. Cops everywhere been doing this for a long time, in the Autism awareness accept understand love sunflower infinity shirt What’s more,I will buy this open too. If anything it’s a net positive for both law enforcement and public safety, unless you’re planing to overthrow the government or participating in a riot it’s not actually an issue. Most of your information is already publicly available and the government has open access to a detailed view of your life with only the documents you submit to them. The only thing they gain is minute details that are either not a problem or are genuinely concerning. Except they’re using public funds, lying about it, specifically targeting journalists which lead to direct first amendment issues, targeting people not suspected of any criminal wrongdoing, enlisting DHS & the FBI, tracking cell phones (which requires a warrant in most places if I remember correctly) and they’ve expanded the operation (after lying about “ramping” it down) and trying to hide it by using an abbreviated code name. Sorry police shouldn’t have the power to do all that without the courts, and shouldn’t be allowed to lie about the use of tax payer funds at all. This goes far beyond tracking what you post on Facebook or instagram.

Edit: Also, those “minute” details you refer to aren’t minute at all. It’s quite literally information they are not allowed to have without probable cause and a warrant. This is literally Snowden’s disclosures with the Autism awareness accept understand love sunflower infinity shirt What’s more,I will buy this NSA at a state level. It’s not “hiding” to force the government to play by their own rules and maintain your constitutional rights. After all, if this is all in the up and up, why are the police “hiding” the “minute” details of their operation from the public? The trouble is it doesn’t stop there. This is distopian in the truest sense of the word. No one was in danger, and no crime had been committed. Here is a good litmus test… If you wouldn’t trust the tool in the hands of your psycho ex, police should not have it without a warrant
