Couple this with my mildly shitty vision (poor depth perception), swapping lanes in high volume traffic can be scary. To try to triangulate where others are takes me too long, so it would slow people down worse if I tried to lane swap frequently to get out of people’s way. I will move over once I can determined it’s safe to do so if they don’t screw that up by passing on the right to prevent one millisecond of inconvenience on their part. I always speed, and your points one and two are the only reasons I’m ever even in the left lane.
