and the Art – I’ll make art here or there I’ll make art anywhere shirt What’s more,I will buy this reasons he gives is: A) Ukraine is too close to Belarus (apparently otherwise it would be fine); and B) “it could deorbit the Earth, and we would fly who knows where”. 🙂 Wait. He said that? He said that thing about sending earth flying? It isn’t made up? IS HE THAT SMOOTH BRAINED?! Eh whatever, at this point, I’ll take his rejection of nukes My partner is 41 years old and was born and grew up in eastern Poland. When she was seven years old one morning she was summoned to the cafeteria along with all of her other fellow students and were forced to drink an iodine solution which tasted awful. She remembers it vividly because each student was supervised to make sure they swallowed this solution. Many of her friends and family developed health problems in subsequent years, including her parents one who has leukemia and the other who passed away from lung cancer but was not a smoker. People in the central European and eastern European countries have come to know where the Chernobyl plume ended up and it was in those Baltic states. As well as Russia. So it’s no wonder that Belarusians of a certain age might remember the toxic affects of Chernobyl. And by the way, if there was a tactical nuclear weapon that was used it’s very likely that the plume would end up going towards Russia anyway.

I’m sure he’s also realizing the Art – I’ll make art here or there I’ll make art anywhere shirt What’s more,I will buy this increasingly likelihood that he’s facing a violent uprising and potentially civil war in his own country. I said this at the start of the war to a friend, but conflicts like this always spill over and we’re already seeing signs of sabotage and explosions across borders in both Russia itself and Belerus. The long this goes on the more the regional will destabilize, basically. That tooth paste also doesn’t suddenly go back in the tube once this is over. Historical examples being the Vietnam war and southeast asia, talking Cambodia and Laos. I met the Belarusian UN Delegate during a Model UN conference in New York about 10 years ago. Beyond assuring us that, despite pages of proof, there are no gay, drug-using, or HIV-positive Belarusians (“Belarus is traditional society”), homeboy talked AT LENGTH about how Chernobyl hurt his country. It was the last thing any of us international relations nerds expected to hear.
