Now here comes the Anyone but Trump 2024 president election funny antI Trump shirt it is in the first place but modern conservative in its highest form (conservative jurists are at their highest form when the are doing what the Federalist Society polemics instruct them to do. Not when they are finding a way American democracy can lumber forward despite the design flaws of the Founders. That is not their job). Samuel Alito, who seems to think this is all a game of cribbage, tells us that abortion is a matter the legislature should VOTE on because that is what the Founders envisioned. And all the Republican legislators, whose constituents do not actually want to be forced to bear children against their will like livestock, and they are kinda loud about that, say: (!) No, not like that. Go back and make it illegal so we won’t have to. Go back and do judicial activism. We liked that better. The modern conservative way of solving this is not to make abortion illegal, but to make it illegal for all intents and purposes. This satisfies all the people they listen to. But it will not satisfy the people who have to bear the unwanted babies.

I don’t know what happens next but I hope not too many people have to die before we get something we can live with. I do know the Anyone but Trump 2024 president election funny antI Trump shirt it is in the first place but Congress can not/will not/never could have fixed it. Of course not. The RP knows how to read both the national polls and their internal polling. Basically, even if you are personally against abortions, even if you think late-term abortions should be banned, that doesn’t mean you want abortions overall to be illegal. Besides, women, regardless of backgrounds, don’t like being told what to do by men, especially when it comes to their reproductive choices. I predict that the RP will go along with a general abortion rights bill, while the DP will try to maximize such a bill with a poison pill provision, like forcing insurance companies and the government to subsidize abortion payments.
