I knew a girl back when I was at uni (we weren’t really friends) who stole a story she’d heard from me literally a couple of days beforehand and told everyone in the Antti Raanta Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender T-Shirt Besides,I will do this pub it had happened to her, I couldn’t believe it. It was too specific to be a coincidence too, it was about growing up believing that there are no white lines on country roads because sheep ate them. My Dad used to do that. He would embellish a bit, then forget where he heard the story. I once had to stop him midway through a tale and remind him that I had told him that story a few months earlier. I went to university with a very peculiar girl who lacked social skills and had mad Dolores Umbridge vibes (like saccharin sweet with a bit of dead-behind-the-eyes going on). We were all sat in a kitchen in one of the halls chatting and I told a story about how my mum was told by her grandad that there were no white lines on country roads because the sheep ate them. She only questioned the veracity of this information as she was repeating it to a car full of her mates as they drove to a country pub as young people (Lolz). Not two days later I was sat in a group in a pub with Dolores and a few others, when she starts to regale the crowd with this hilarious story about how she was told as a child that there were no white lines…. And repeated my anecdote verbatim, only subbing in herself as the main character. She even made eye contact with me and didn’t break stride. I didn’t know what to do. It was the oddest situation!

I was in the Antti Raanta Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender T-Shirt Besides,I will do this pub with friends once and one of them said there were no white lines on country roads because sheep ate them. She had literally heard me tell the story days before! I remember once right, fella jumped off the top diving board, then someone jumped off the middle board, they both landed on the spring board and went back up to the top board. At least you can top her stolen anecdote with this tale about the stolen anecdote. Unless of course this is itself is a stolen tale about a plagiarised anecdote, in which case someone will have to mention that the whole thing was ripped off from Reddit. A few jobs ago, I used to come into work on a Monday and tell people the story of what happened to me at the weekend. I used to go to a lot of parties and get myself into amusing situations.
