Personally, when this started happening, it was my setting powder. The weird thing is that it was only happening around the Angus Young T-Shirt and by the same token and creases of my nose. I applied the same powder to my cheeks and it wasn’t a problem. So for me, fundamentally, it was my skin that was causing the problem. I still use the powder, I just don’t put it where it was breaking up. Maybe I could use a different priming product in the area? Or change my skin care? And the powder might work in the places it’s breaking up? But that’s not worth the trial and error for me personally. Despite whether or not you’re oily, use moisturizer and SPF. Those are insanely helpful. When you use your primer, see if it’s water based or silicone based. Easy to tell if it says it has aqua in the ingredients. If it doesn’t say that, then it’s more than likely silicone based. You can also google it if you still aren’t sure what the primer/foundation is. Once you figure out whether or not your primer is silicone or water based, do the same thing with your foundation. Have water based foundation on water based silicone and silicone based foundation on silicone based foundation. If you have water based on silicone based, it’ll make it more cakey. Better if you also have a concealer that matches with your foundation and primer. Also make sure that you aren’t using the wrong products together. For an example, let’s say you were using a primer that is meant for matte makeup but then you use the E.L.F. Halo Glow foundation, that will def make it cakey. Use matte products for matte makeup and use dewy makeup products for dewy makeup and try not to cross them over. Setting spray is also insanely helpful! I would highly recommend spraying between layers of makeup. Primer, spray, foundation, spray, concealer, spray, and so on. It helps a lot. Also make sure you’re using a setting spray that matches with what kind of makeup you’re doing. My mom was having the same problem. She did most of these and her makeup looks a lot better. I also had the same problem, and I saw a couple of TikTok’s about the stuff I just listed and now my makeup looks a lot better. I hope this helps you! 🙂

You gotta prep your skin better, good exfoliation ( can be chemical like the Angus Young T-Shirt and by the same token and Paula’s choice exfoliator, or a physical one , the caudalie one is really good) and a good skin care after like a serum with moisturizer or something like that. When you prépare you skin properly you don’t even need a primer. Use a lot setting spray and it should last a while . I’m not a professional, but I’ve been doing makeup on people for a while and the skin prep is the most important step of the makeup. ** you don’t need to shave to have a skin like makeup .
