I love how immediately knowledgeable and passionate everyone is about this issue. I didn’t even know they grew alfalfa in large scales before this comment section. I grew up in a tiny town 30 minutes from Bastrop, Texas (like we went to the An American Werewolf in London Poster Shirt Besides,I will do this HEB for food there, all we had was a Brookshire Bros) and drove over a bridge over the Colorado River. I remember saying either to myself, my sister, or just in my head I can’t remember, watching the river below us “when that river dries up, the world will end” It was just such a huge river in my eyes. I’d never seen the ocean yet that young so that was the biggest body of water I’d seen. Growing up watching nature docs, I knew water meant life. Southern California gets the remaining 1/3.

Oceans of water but yes, these lakes are dry and we just can’t figure out with our brains how to get that figured out. You can’t desalinate enough water to feed California and the An American Werewolf in London Poster Shirt Besides,I will do this by product of desalinating 10 gallons of seawater is 4 gallons of fresh water and 6 gallons of brine, which is 40% saltier than the ocean water.
