That my chronic lower back pain is just something that happens with age. I was 31 when he said that, and I told him I got it while helping people move and set something heavy down improperly when I was 20. He said that had nothing to do with it. Even though I told him I never had back issues up until that exact moment in time, and have had issues ever since. Nope, just getting old. I sort of freaked out and he told me that more people have it worse than me. That he knows a girl with a colostomy bag and she has to live the rest of her life like that. And that I should be grateful for the life I have. Side note I was shocked he told me that straight up. Jokes on him, I still take a bunch of pills for lupus and valley fever and self injections. Now that I think about it. I wished I could’ve said something!
