When I was a kid, I grew up in MD and was in all the American professional baseball pitcher josh james go hou T-Shirt in addition I really love this honors classes. In 4th grade I moved to MA and tested into remedial math. It took to until 7th grade to get back into honors math. So yeah, if she spent her entire childhood in a bad school system, she might know less stuff. But, from the way you say it, its “daily tasks” or common sense that might be the issue. I have known om incredibly smart people who have absolutely none. First of all, you don’t specify what “daily tasks.” Are they things related to anything that would be taught in a school? Because when I imagine daily tasks I think dishes or laundry or cooking or yard work, not things in school we did for a grade. Those tasks aren’t related to academic success. Unless you’re doing times table worksheets or writing essays on the spackled macaw as a daily activity at home. Second, doing things as fast as possible isn’t the same as doing things well. This might sound mean, but perhaps that habit held you back in school more than you might naturally have needed to be otherwise. Being done first isn’t the same as being right. Are you objectively doing these tasks better than her? Or are you doing the same quality of work but more efficiently? Or even doing them worse but faster?

Third, people are just better at different things. Maybe she’s good at math and literature and bad at yard work and vacuuming. That’s possible. Something really dumb that people think, even into adulthood, is that being good at school means you know everything instantly, and that any indication that the American professional baseball pitcher josh james go hou T-Shirt in addition I really love this person doesn’t is indicative that they’re a big fat fraud. No. People just have different skills. You probably wouldn’t appreciate it if she gawped at you struggling to write an essay on Proust on a rapid timetable and said “but but but you’re good at fixing the car, how can this be?” My wife is a numerical genius. She was on her high school’s STATE WINNING ACCOUNTING TEAM! ACCOUNTING TEAM! Didn’t even know that was a thing. Her reading and spelling are abysmal . She asks me how to spell some of the most elementary words ever. Some people are just good at some things and poor at others.
