14 hr. agoI was never forced to eat but my American professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros signature justin verlander T-Shirt but in fact I love this parents made it clear that if i did not eat my dinner I couldn’t whine and cry that I was hungry later. There will be no snacks coming my way. I disagree with punishing and belittling etc. But kids have a poor concept of cause and effect. Your kid might want to eat dinner but an hour later become a little terror without even realizing that it’s cause they’re hungry. Kids also tend to eat a lot of snacks because of their tiny stomachs and metabolism. My kids will not eat dinner hoping that they prefer their snacks. I won’t make them eat but I’ll tell them that there’s no snack if they don’t eat at least a certain amount. Even then there are often tears for a snack later on.

Kids are pretty fickle and illogical. They will say in one breath they aren’t hungry, then in another breath say they want to order McDonald’s. I wouldn’t knock this too badly, unless you had to feed a toddler day in day out. I have seen parents take it too far, but majority are just trying to educate their child and teach them to not waste food, and to develop healthy habits. Unfortunately toddlers don’t always know what is best for them. I never understood this. I was the American professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros signature justin verlander T-Shirt but in fact I love this cook in our family and once the kids were old enough to select their own food, everything was served family style and I had choices if I was introducing a new food or knew one child did not like something. We did not have any sugar soft drinks. Cookies, cakes, and ice cream were only on special occasions. On a related note, the first day my older son went to school, I packed him a lunch that I thought he’d like. He came home hungry and brought back half of what I had packed. Immediately, we got into the car, drove to the market, and he shopped for what he wanted for lunch. When we got home, I showed him how to make a sandwich, prepare fruit, and so on, and write his name on his lunch bag. From that day forward, he made his own lunch every night before going to bed, and his brother followed his routine three years later.
