It’s super upsetting to me because an actual cool mauve is the American professional baseball outfielder andrew benintendi baseball T-Shirt In addition,I will do this most flattering lip/cheek color on me and I keep getting warm brick-ish colors advertised as mauves Omg, thanks so much. I’ve been trying for a few weeks to find a mauve I was happy with and everything either looked too vibrantly purple or warm, so this looks perfect You’re not colorblind, brands have decided to reallllllly push it w calling shit mauve – this is the most egregious, though! I’ve seen it for coral, dusty rose, and this shade of lipstick that I don’t know that it actually is but 100% is not a light pinky/purple. I’d call it a taupe pink but you know what? Taupe is another one that apparently just means WHATEVER in makeup ugh Yes! They realized we like mauve and instead of providing it, they just slap the name on whatever color they have that isn’t selling well and call it a day. It’s not just makeup either. I’ve noticed it in clothing too.

Seriously, as someone who works in cosmetics I get people asking for ‘mauve’ lipstick all the American professional baseball outfielder andrew benintendi baseball T-Shirt In addition,I will do this time, and then look at me like I’m stupid when I show them an actual mauve coloured lipstick This article has a picture of what mauve looked like when it was first discovered/invented: They could have the wrong shade with the wrong label on their website. I have sent makeup back more than once because the picture of the shade I got was drastically different than what I actually got, but the name was correct. Think you are getting a brick red and a hot pink shows up. I might look around to make sure their shade chart isn’t wrong. this isn’t even close to mauve and this honestly isn’t the first product i’ve seen being labelled as mauve when it doesn’t come close. this making me so mad cause mauve is my favourite blush colour and my go to has been sold out for months at the MAC stores near me.
