She’s wrong in scientific terms, and she’s wrong in biblical terms. Epidural only worked on 1/2 my body for both deliveries. I would have honestly preferred to jump off a cliff than to give birth again. Doesn’t the body somehow overwrite the pain from labor in memory? Or is a hormonal thing? I went to Christian school and never heard this take before. I remember being taught that god punished women with painful childbirth for the original sin of eve eating the apple. Not religious at all now but you do get taught some crazy stuff in a church run school. This post just unlocked that memory. Endorphins do kick in, though. I didn’t have any pain meds for any of my births, and the endorphins are the best thing I’ve ever felt. Amazing stuff.
