No, probably has a shitload of exposure in a blind trust and his fund manager keeps breathlessly calling him at 2AM like “MAN ELON THIS WORK FROM HOME THING IS A BAD IDEA AND THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD KNOW IT RIGHT?” I remember saying this when they were rushing lifting covid restrictions and Republicans were yelling about “letting” people go back to work. I was like, “ummm seems like most people are doing fine at home. We just need to iron out virtual schooling for the Almost Healed Deluxe August New Shirt and I love this kids…” “People want to go back to work!” “Not from what I see.” So I realized many of them are probably invested in building contracts and real estate. A lot of money laundering through building funds, land grants, construction contracts etc. The Republicans are losing money by us being a little happier not having to go to an office. Even though they continued making record breaking profits every year. And as punishment as soon as we went back to the office and income should’ve started flowing again, they hit us with crippling inflation, cut hundreds of thousands of jobs across all industries and cut pay to the rest then wailed in social media that no one wants to work.

I do not understand economics at all. All I know is I’m paying $200 more per month on credit cards than I was a year ago. This is supposed to help the Almost Healed Deluxe August New Shirt and I love this economy how? I’m certainly not spending that money at businesses. No it’s going to the shareholders of your credit card company. Just like rent inflation is going to the shareholders of banks and real estate management corporations. They’re funneling as much as they can to the top and cutting off the economic mobility of the people they’re siphoning. What am I missing? Since when does occupancy relate to a company’s ability to pay for their commercial real estate? I’m not paid any differently whether I’m in the office or WFH so my company has the same obligation either way. If this is about the credit crunch, I get it but that’s going to happen no matter where I sit.
