If removed I’d totally love to see you recreate it like an art piece and hang it up as a memento I’m pretty scared of bees (not even allergic) but I know they do some much good for the people and life on this planet that ive been trying to get ok with them I had bees that did similar at my place and it was great until they got Africanized and they were very aggressive and would dive bomb people. After being stung 5x in one week that’s how I became allergic to bees and ended up in the hospital If you could guarantee I’d never get stung I’d enjoy the heck outta that. I’ve been stung trying to save bees from my pool too many times to feel rosy about them… Reduces risk of burglar. Probably increases r value for insulation. Blocks UV rays. If you can figure it out it also provides honey what’s not to love? Board it up that little gap so no-one can open the window. And make sure the shutter is firm and and sturdy that way it won’t open if extreme winds come through. Haven’t read all the comments, I don’t know if somebody else has already mentioned it. You can call a local beekeeper and I’m sure he will be quite willing to come out and remove the bees for free as long as he can keep the hive.
