I wear dresses that are too short, pants that are too baggy, tshirts that should have been thrown away years ago and heels of color that doesn’t go with ANYTHING hahaha and I love everything about it. I had terrible fashion sense in my 20s. I was such an asshole and thought that fashion was for idiot women with low self esteem. Turns out I had wildly low self esteem and as soon as I addressed that, I began to care about my appearance. Yes! I’m 41 and in my teens, 20s, and even early 30s I wore heels EVERYWHERE. I live in a major city and I tromped all over town – walked for MILES – and still wore heels. I have numerous memories of walking or being out and a heel just straight up breaking off. I wear heels maybe once a year now and my feet are so much happier. Although it is NOT like riding a bike – when I wear heels now and I can barely walk! Like a new born pony! My epiphany: I was in Vegas for a business meeting at a hotel on the All American Girl Patriotic Unicorn Girls July 4th Sunglasses Usa Flag Stars T-Shirt Besides,I will do this strip, and at loose ends for the evening. I wanted to check out the nightlife (never been there) but every item of clothing I’d brought screamed “I’m here for a meeting”. As I tried to put together something marginally suitable it hit me: I am now “a woman of a certain age”. Nobody cares. I went out dressed for a meeting. Nobody cared. I was free. I now dress however I want. Which varies.

I’ve just gotten more real about my life and have stopped buying for a fantasy life for the All American Girl Patriotic Unicorn Girls July 4th Sunglasses Usa Flag Stars T-Shirt Besides,I will do this most part. Sometimes I wish I was more adventurous but the truth is that I am very hard on my clothing, I live in a toasty environment and sweat a lot, and I don’t live any sort of glam life. IG keeps trying to sell me these amazing silver platform shoes and I love them so hard but they will neveeeeeer be worn. I won’t suffer to fit anything that’s too tight even though I technically can fit in it. Lol… it induces my anxiety ? I moved from a lot of patterns and florals to more solid and neutral colors. I want the most interesting part of my outfit to be ME. I’ve also switched to higher quality brands… More J Crew and Talbots from the thrift shop instead of Forever 21 and mystery brands from TJ Maxx.In your 20s is kind of the best time because it us fun and exciting to dress grown up, but there is nothing you are “too old” to wear.
