Great breweries and distilleries, great donut shop, reasonable weather in July, fantastic seafood including MAINE LOBSTER! Its not a great place to spend weeks of time but a tourist could fly into Boston, see the Alice Coltrane an American jazz musician composer bandleader and Hindu spiritual leader T-Shirt in contrast I will get this sights there, check out Salem Mass, maybe a few days by the ocean in Portsmouth NH or Old Orchard Beach ME and then hit Portland. Oh and Bob’s Clam Hut when you’re heading from Portsmouth to Portland. We flew into Boston and drove up to Bar Harbor once. Amazing, amazing trip. Went in early May and essentially had the whole island to ourselves. Portland is great but it’s definitely not off the beaten path for tourists. Large cruise ships dock there and it probably receives more tourists than any other city in New England north of Boston. I had a great time in Portland, ME and surrounds the last time I went there. We fly there and plan a drive down to Boston every few years. It’s a great city (and a great drive too)

Santa Fe is very different and unique. It’s in the Alice Coltrane an American jazz musician composer bandleader and Hindu spiritual leader T-Shirt in contrast I will get this high desert which makes for a very interesting landscape that’s much greener than that of a typical desert and the adobe architecture is really special. The best way to experience it imo is to stay at a small BnB with a nice garden to enjoy, eat some delicious new mexican food, check out the georgia o keefe museum, stroll around the historic center, and enjoy the mountain/high desert nature. The b&bs in Santa Fe are among the best accommodation experiences I’ve had while traveling – bespoke historic rooms, friendly owners, wonderful full breakfasts delivered to your room or to tables in the gardens (i had these blue corn pancakes that i still think about lol). Also it’s not that hot even in the summer bc it’s so high up in the mountains!
