I think each state is different, too. For example, in Washington, if you are the Alec Pierce American football wide receiver Indianapolis The Catch T-Shirt moreover I love this mother, most likely you will become the primary custodian, and as long as you have about 55% residential time, the other parent cannot object to relocating. If the child didn’t have that much time, it’s unfair to leave the country the child belongs to, especially because countries like Korea doesn’t have a better child protection system than the US. Since you have been in this profession, I would carefully suggest that we consider the possibility that BECAUSE fleeing for safety has become the only way to justify in abduction cases, abductors are encouraged by legal professionals to wisely use that card, resulting in a higher number of cases that involve allegations of abuse. It is hard for me to agree that American legal system is so flawed that an abused wife cannot get protection to a point she has to go against the law and use enormous amount of legal fee in Korea to defend her abduction. I do agree that each case needs to be looked carefully, but we are at a moment where a surge of abduction cases is happening because it’s now well known that Korea will condone such behavior and the children are never sent back.

I have known several foreigners here in Korea who abducted their child and left their Korean wife behind, returning to their home country with the Alec Pierce American football wide receiver Indianapolis The Catch T-Shirt moreover I love this kid. I don’t think the American legal system listens to the decisions of Korean courts for Korean citizens either. On paper there are international agreements in place, but the truth is that each legal system favors its own citizens and is simply easier for its own citizens to negotiate. And in the final analysis nation states are not subject to foreign powers and international enforcement is lacking. From what I know, that is not true. United States has been consistently abiding by Hague convention so far and the Federal court that deals with this issue is pretty well trained. Your view that “this is an inherent problem and that’s just the way it is” does not hold true when we look at what countries are violating Hague convention like Korea.
