The issue is many don’t think about it at all and just flippantly say well in this case it should be legal with no regard that you just can’t have it both ways. I have a Catholic friend who will be thrilled. He refused to get vaccinated because he doesn’t believe anyone but him should have say over his body. I told him he’s lucky he isn’t a woman because they aren’t afforded the Alan partridge savage garden alan johnson savage garden design classic shirt also I will do this same rights. He looked at me puzzled. I just said you don’t want women to be able to choose, so why should you get to? The short sightedness of these people is amazing. Your Catholic friend decided he knows better than the Pope? Bit of a shit Catholic. (I mean, I guess the Pope didn’t say anything about secular laws, just that it was a moral obligation to get vaccinated, which seems like a pretty clear directive to me.) There are some crazy-ass American Catholics who really seem hungry for a new schism. I grew up Catholic. I never heard anything anti-science growing up. Hell, half were regularly voting Democrats. American Christianity is in a dark, weird, spiral and it’s affecting soooo many other parts of society.

I don’t think Christianity in America will go extinct or anything, even after all this, but this unholy union of Evangelism, conspiracy theories, and white nationalism can’t vanish fast enough… Also Republicans: America was so great before women could do things. Let’s keep them pregnant, even if they have rape babies. Like the Alan partridge savage garden alan johnson savage garden design classic shirt also I will do this good ol’ days. If legitimate I feel like we will see news stories of abandoned new borns crushed by trash, trash compactors, women bleeding to death from botched abortions, soaring levels of orphans and abused children. It’s horrifying; I’m devastated. As a young woman who is sexually active and can’t take hormonal birth control I’m not sure what I’ll do now and if I even feel safe having sex. I use other forms of protection with my partner, but accidents happen. It’s irresponsible to expect people to abstain from having sex if they don’t want children; it’s not going to happen. This ban won’t stop abortion, it only prevents access to safe/affordable abortions. This benefits no one.
