Not in all cases obviously, but there are plenty of cases where a person’s lifestyle choices directly result in them getting cancer, like smoking for example. Not saying you’re wrong for saying the Ajs good time bar alan jackson with guitar art classic shirt Besides,I will do this comparison is weak (it is), really just pointing this out for no reason. In no way does anyone ever willingly sign on a line and agree to have cancer. And in no way does anyone ever accidentally accept and spend a student loan. I used to receive whippings from the belt so everyone else needs to endure that through their childhood too! Yes, sarcasm, the part that everyone else should have to endure it too part. I think the problem is generational. Our parents were told that “the only way to really make it is with a college degree”. Their parents were trying to get a better education for their kids because education was important and not as prevalent as it is today, the problem lies in the fact that education, like most things now a days has just turned into a business. By the time our generation comes along the whole point behind why we go to college is lost, but the need to go is ingrained in everything we do.

I am all for canceling debt. I want mine to be gone so badly. Bust I also want to see them fix the Ajs good time bar alan jackson with guitar art classic shirt Besides,I will do this underlying issue as well. “We’ve cured anyone of cancer who currently has cancer, but we don’t remember how we did it for anyone who gets cancer after today.” yea they better give a credit to people who have paid off a loan in the past 10 years or something. ever since tuiton rates started going exponential Except student loans are labor that was spent, they can’t just be destroyed like student loans. A more accurate equivalent would be finding a way to remove cancer from patients and transfer pieces of it to everyone, so they too can have cancer. A lethal disease is not the same as willingly attending an educational institution of your choice for a degree of your choice in hopes of improving your future earning potential. I’m not saying college isn’t incredibly overpriced or that graduate schooling shouldn’t be free or at least less expensive. But it’s not the same as cancer, and it’s an honestly gross comparison. Correction: we had a cure for cancer that lasted exactly one day. It didn’t work before that day, and did not work afterwords. My cancer was cured, but people who get it tomorrow are SOL. Let student loans have the ability to be discharged in bankruptcy and watch how reasonable the pricing starts to be.
