With this, you can have around 10 foals in a season that are the same mare and stallion crossed. With thoroughbreds and some other breeds the registry requires live cover and the mare to carry its own baby, which is why it’s done this way. With horses that can use recip mares, often the “teaser” is reversed and there’s a teaser mare present to rile up the stallion so he can… perform, because this system more than often requires artificial insemination so he deposits the sperm into a tube/bag and then it is deposited with the egg into the recip mare- its all a little bit more sterile and scientific than the old-school thoroughbred farms. Other fun fact is that almost all of these mass-breeding operations, namely racehorses, are extremely exploitative, wasteful, and abusive. I’ve rehabbed several retired racehorses and it takes so much money, time, and expertise that more than half retired or injured racehorses end up shipped to Mexico for slaughter. Many quarter horses are used heavily at a young age and put down before they hit 20 years old because of the degenerative genetic and performance-based problems they get. Most of the horse industry is a money scam that exploits and injures innocent animals, and most trainers are money-hungry monsters that inflict pain and suffering in order to come out on top. It’s cut-throat but advertises itself as fun and fair. I worked in the top of several equine disciplines and very rarely saw anything that reflected humane handling of performance horses. This happens in English and western disciplines on low and high level circuits- any time I’ve tried to speak out I get threats of defamation lawsuits or worse. It’s all an organized mafia and it disgusts me.

Eh, they probably aren’t nightmares. The real nightmares are the AJBXNG Anthony Joshua Gold Essential T-Shirt it is in the first place but ones that don’t want to mate and try to kill the stallion I took an Equestrian Science class as part of my pre-vet undergrad and our uni’s farm used a mini horse named Frank as their teaser. If a mare appears to be in heat, she will be checked by the farm veterinarian, Dr. Scoggin, who will be looking for large follicles and uterine folds to signal peak fertility.
