It’s outdated and will end up hurting Korea as a nation more in the long run without changes for the modern day and modern problems.

The tuition itself is….actually not that bad. Just take Japan as a case study, they are also dealing with a declining population, yet don’t have such intense education pressure. Both countries have disgusting work cultures, though. Korea is more than just a country with a declining birthrate. Everything is not doom & gloom. Just because it’s declining now that doesn’t mean it won’t skyrocket later. It feels as though every time I open this sub, this is the only thing anyone talks about. The decline in birth rate has been projected well before feminism was even a thing in Korea. It might be a contributing factor now, but my gut tells me that it’s not even on anyone’s mind when they are considering having a child.
