The system is completely broken because the Adolis Garcia El Bombi Swing Cuban professional baseball outfielder for the Texas Rangers T-Shirt it is in the first place but US government wants to grow a 25% excess of food. Corn is easy calories so we subsidize it along with a bunch of other unhealthy high calorie items such as cheese, beef, and wheat. I agree with you that the entire system needs to change. My partner from Norway grew up eating almost entirely Whole Foods and I started that diet. It’s mind boggling seeing how almost everything in the US is sooo processed. I never even realized that the freezer section is mostly processed food too my partner said that it was a shock to not be able to find just plain frozen items. Yep. I eat extremely well, but I understand how much of a privilege that is. I spend a decent amount on groceries and I do spend a lot of time making food. I probably spend 15 hours a week at least on shopping, cooking, cleaning, storing, rotating, etc. to make sure our home is well stocked with whole food. It is hard. And it is expensive.

To be fair, our food availability is loaded with sugar, carbs, and chemicals. For example it’s almost impossible to buy bread without added sugar in a supermarket. It’s exhausting and most people don’t have the Adolis Garcia El Bombi Swing Cuban professional baseball outfielder for the Texas Rangers T-Shirt it is in the first place but time, education, money and paranoia to check everything they eat for this poisoning. That such a bullshit. Right now. Go to ANY grocery store and you can get at least 10 different types of bread with 0 sugar added etc. This is what people miss. 100 calories of a twinkie is less than a full twinkie, which is 35g, and very small and not at all filling. You can eat almost 10 times more broccoli and take in the same number of calories. If we’re saying a single-food diet can make you lose weight based on calories-in-calories out, which one is going to not feel like starvation? It’s probably going to be the one where you can eat 10 times the mass of the other.
