And theres plastic bioaccumulated in the fruit/veggies we eat from plastic mulches/weed fabrics and everything else plastic involved in growing/harvesting and packaging/shipping. Organic gardeners and permaculturalists have been using cardboard for years too as mulches and that’s full of forever chemicals used in the cardboard making process. Phthalates are not good for you, by any metric but they also are not plastic. They are chemicals adjacent to the use of plastic. If they actually do take it all out, they’ll get people complaining “it just doesn’t taste as good as it used to.” Unfortunately, the canned corn, just like all canned goods nowadays, needs the plastic liner in it to preserve the freshness and sterility of the product
