Dependant on their field i think yearly is the shortest. While I don’t have a specific response for you, I would reply with: If it was world wide law that all police officers had to always maintain X% body fat (or whatever spec you want) who is going to enforce this law? The police policing themselves has historically always been a bad idea and super ineffective. I agree with you they should be held to a higher standard then they are currently and my opinion doesn’t stop at their athleticism. I personally think there’s a correlation between the increase in obesity/decrease in overall physical fitness and the increase in police shootings. Can’t run or fight? This is largely due to the low number of people willing to get out there to do the job, and the even lower number of people who are actually able to meet the new hire qualifications. That’s what guns are for. It’s not about doing a good job, it’s about terrorizing the populous into being too scared to rebel. Because there’s no repercussions for shooting people and it doesn’t require any level of athleticism or weight maintenance.
