But, I do think its reasonable to expect someone to act differently when their single vs in a relationship. That’s a pretty basic assumption. When you’re single your time is yours, when you’re in a relationship, all of a sudden that time is shared (which is part of that first argument mentioned). So given that assumption, its pretty reasonable to assume that when you’re single, you’re putting your most attractive foot forward, in whatever form you choose. After you’re in a relationship (i’m assuming long term, been together a while), there’s an expectation that you’re not trying to attract anyone anymore, in social settings, if your partner isn’t present. I think that a lot of us dudes realize that men, in general, are pigs so we know what is going through other dudes heads. Couple that with a dose of insecurity, a dash or trust issues and BAM! You got yourself a boyfriend that wants you to wrap up. Personally I like it when my wife is dressed all sexy, it’s fun, makes her feel good, and I know my game will most likely lead to a home run with a smokin hot Betty. The whole weird possessive objectification thing is just an extension of lack of purpose and real tribal support. Also it’s insulting to assume that a woman can’t make her own decisions and manage herself in public however she wants. If your girl wants to cheat on you or whatever then that’s on her, just be enough man for her and she won’t. That’s all I have and it’s probably way off but it’s there now.
