Countdown from 100 I was out by 97. 6 screws and a metal plate in my left leg. Spent 4 days in the hospital on morphine every 2 hours and hydro every 4. When they stopped giving me morphine I literally had the shakes and sweats of withdraws. Rehab was a bitch. 6 months of non weight bearing, and a lot of painful range of motion exercises. I’m lucky, there wasn’t much joint damage, and now, years later ant 35 years old, it doesn’t give me any real problems. Yet. I know the feeling of having a searing hot piece of metal cutting my hand, had an accident at a furnace and that hurt like a bitch!

So bullet gotta hurt even worse My friend’s police department has an officer get grazed by a round that also hit is pepper spray. That was extra hot and spicy. I was shot in the leg. It felt like a hard flick of a finger then numbness. I didn’t think I was shot until I saw the hole in my pants. Even then I thought maybe a rock hit me or something. No pain or blood until I started walking then came a gush of blood and then my entire body went limp. People saw what happened so I had help right away. After that it hurt but somewhere around a 6-7 on a scale of 10. Another time I was hit by a fragment from a ricochet on my forehead. Same feeling of being flicked with a finger. The area around the wound went white and there was no blood. The pain level was around a 5. Neither time was bad but I don’t want to try my luck again. My brother got hit with a piece of ricochet from a 30-30 (~2x2mm), it had punched through 1/4″ of Steel then hit two rocks before hitting him. It burned tf out of his skin in that little area it punched through his jacket and shirt & knocked him off balance. Traveling about 80 yards to still deliver that much energy.
