“Don’t simply prevent me from stealing and give me the Aaron Nesmith Basketball Player American Indiana Pacers Pacers T-Shirt moreover I love this option to walk away and reflect on my poor decisions in life. Call the cops where I will freely admit everything to them and be criminally charged for my utter stupidity.” Had a high school teacher that got caught shoplifting a pair of shoes from a small boutique store in my small hometown. Kids obviously heard about it (think the lacrosse coach told us), but what the authority figures (teachers) who knew more details told us was that she had the shoes, got an emergency phone call and left forgetting she had them. Gets off with no consequences, a few days or weeks off of work comes back good as ever. Within another year she caught another petty larceny charge, it cost her the teaching job, and I haven’t heard anything about her since. Maybe she’s still at it, but more likely she learned that actions have far reaching consequences and something as simple as walking out of the store with something (whether through forgetfulness or malice) can and should cost someone their livelihood. What kind of entitled morons continue to intentionally perpetrate these offense and think they will never face consequences … I hope they start to come down on them harder.

Dude she is a next level of stupid that I’ve never seen. The guy would have let her gone on with her day but her ego wouldn’t allow her to just walk away. Incredible. Thing is she’s probably correct from a corporate policy standpoint. Bet she went in there thinking “they can’t do anything” and was shocked when they did. Big corporations would rather not have a lawsuit on their hands or any liability from an injury or something caused by a confrontation with a thief. That’s how it was when I worked retail for two unrelated retailers. The thing is, she probably could’ve dropped all the Aaron Nesmith Basketball Player American Indiana Pacers Pacers T-Shirt moreover I love this product and dipped, but she was so certain that he had done something egregious and needed to be held accountable, she seemed to insist on waiting for police. Unfortunately for this woman, company policy doesn’t dictate the law. Sure maybe he’ll be fired, but he’s not going to have charges pressed against him lol
