That recruiter is out of line and unlikely to have actually talked to the Aaliyah Black Glasses American singer and actress T-Shirt but in fact I love this company. If they block you go straight to whoever you were supposed to meet with skip the recruiter. I think you dodged a bullet. If they can’t understand that you had a legitimate medical emergency, you don’t want to work for any company that that recruiter recommends. This is total bs. Reach out to the company directly just to ensure that they have it from you that you were unavoidably unavailable (you don’t need to go into private detail). It appears that recruiters sometimes get a little too big for their britches as the old folks say. They may be mad but their attitude is not necessarily that of the company hiring.

It may also be that this is an internal recruiter that does speak for the Aaliyah Black Glasses American singer and actress T-Shirt but in fact I love this company, but reaching out directly to the head of HR will enable you to confirm that. Maybe include 2-3 sentences describing how perfectly you fit the role. Perhaps the recruiter will be out their cut! (There are likely contract clauses preventing this, but a job-seeker can dream…) No guarantee you would get the job if you were well and went. But…. You were definitely sick and are getting better. There will be other jobs, don’t play with your health. If you went to the ER and had more and let them know that morning, imagine how they treat employee who went to ER? would you want to work there? Honestly I lost 7 years of my life to a horrible job because a recruiter convinced me it was a great opportunity. When I moved to another state I found out the place was a nightmare, and the guy in charge was completely unhinged. I called the recruiter to tell her, and she said “Oh yeah, well we definitely got the impression that he was off a bit, if it makes you feel better we won’t work with him again.” Like, how the fuck does that help me?
