NTA, I don’t know how you could do anything but be angry given the A Mega Pint vintage T-Shirt Additionally,I will love this level of betrayal, but please, save some of that anger and hurt for your partner. He is emotionally abusing you by doing this. I’m not usually a fan of lying, and I think your partner deserves the truth whatever you decide, but there’s no reason anyone else has to be told if you decide to end the pregnancy. Pregnancies end all the time and often no one knows why. You don’t have to outright lie but you can fudge around the truth in a way that implies you’re too upset to discuss it further. NTA but your husband is for going against your request not to tell anyone given the fact you haven’t made any final decisions regarding the pregnancy. Your MIL is also TA for posing as your husband and telling the news. I’d definitely consider both of these behaviors major red flags and rethink your relationship with this guy and his family. Things like this tend to get worse, not better.

At this point and given his behavior I would be really questioning if the one trying to force you to a decision is actually him and not just his family. And she didn’t break your trust, your husband did. He choose to tell his mom before making a decision with you. But your biggest problem is your husband, not MIL. If husband can’t stand up to MIl, I can’t imagine the rest of your married future isngoing to be great either (no matter your decision with the pregnancy). NTA It looks like maybe you have a decision to make not only about this unexpected pregnancy but about your marriage. Even worse, from what you’ve described it sounds to me like your husband told his mother about the pregnancy in order for her to manipulate you. It sorta sounds like maybe he wants you to go through with the pregnancy and let the news ‘slip’ to get others to emotionally manipulate you.
