My dad voted Republican for 50 years because of gun rights even though he is socially liberal. He couldn’t bring himself to vote for Trump though. Welp Raganomics trickledown economics didn’t work so now let’s try to hold back progress through religious nationalism and control of women, brown people, and the A christmas carol title shirt it is in the first place but poor. Every republican at the federal and state level (and many at the local level) have been campaigning on this for almost 50 years. Isn’t this a “promises kept” moment for them? Shouldn’t they want to go into the midterms touting this “accomplishment”? Or perhaps they know less than 20% of the US even supports a ban on abortion, and maybe all this time it was just bullshit pandering to raise money and support from their more extreme and ignorant base… Quite the Freudian slip on that senator Lankford’s part in saying “every child is valuable” instead of their usual keywords when talking about abortion. I’m going to have to vote for the first time in my life and I don’t know how. But I have to do everything I can if I can do anything at all. Is there a simplified list out there of all the state laws that will take effect as soon as the ruling is issued? I see a couple mentioned in the comments, like it becoming homicide in one state…. not even allowing it in the case of ectopic pregnancies which can easily lead to death of the mother. Sounds like there’s about to be a world of insanity the moment this takes effect in many states.

Kind of dangerous for them to be so vocal about how this leak is such a big deal. Because if it turned out to be someone close to Roberts or Alito they would look like hypocrites for then saying it isn’t a big deal. Looking like hypocrites would be really damaging to the A christmas carol title shirt it is in the first place but GOP. Dems need to pass a legalization bill in the House ASAP and then force a Senate vote. Let every GOP member vote on record and then bludgeon them with that record for mid terms. If they need secrecy to pass or overturn laws etc then they shouldn’t be doing it. They should be caring more what the people who voted them in want than there personal beliefs. The overriding theme of the fall elections should be that Republicans want to ban abortion. Don’t let them hand-wave it. Every single Republican up for re-election should be hounded to take an individual stand on this. Plain and simple: Should abortion on demand be legal or not?
