This is pretty normal from what I’ve seen.. you do the 54 Years 1969 – 2023 Matthew Perry Thank You For The Memories Shirt Additionally,I will love this work, then you get a matching title because you’ve essentially “self-promoted” (Disclaimer: IT Sector, may vary across industries).. the best way I’ve seen to “protect yourself” (ensure that you get the matching money) is to perform really well in your new role, demonstrating that you belong in the role and that they will not benefit from pivoting to someone else. If for some reason, they decide NOT to pay you despite performing at/above the expected standard for the role, you brush up your resume with your new responsibilities and start applying elsewhere for a position in the role you’ve grown into. It sounds like they want it both ways. They can either pay you for the work and accept the loss if it doesn’t work out or, they can not pay you but they cannot have higher expectations of you until they do. Sounds like more work/responsibility with the same pay… Not ideal unless you really like to work and not get paid.

I saw this happen to one of the 54 Years 1969 – 2023 Matthew Perry Thank You For The Memories Shirt Additionally,I will love this managers in marketing… she was offered a head of marketing, she took the opoortubity and after 6 months she got a massive raise … i mean massive like 3 times as much. As a new manager I had an employee I really liked. Great potential – every time I spoke to the director above me they agreed and said “this guy is perfect to lead a team, let’s do it”. I made an ass of myself and promised this guy a raise and promotion before I had written confirmation and then got the “there’s nothing we can do right now” from management for months. I strung this poor guy along with empty promises and eventually he burned out and left. This was a very hard lesson for me to learn and I still feel bad to this day.
