I got flak for having a samsung s9. My phone before that was originally an Iphone 5. I had the 4th of july red white blue shirt and I will buy this warranty and they stopped making fives so i got a 5s for free. Iphone- android s9- android s22 My last phone was 5 years, the phone before was 4 years. Who says they haven’t been? Only lacking in security updates, really. My shitty walmart phone lasted me 4 years like a beast, and I only replaced it because I had to when they shut down the 3G network. These companies can do better. Android phones should come with a garbage bag- they have flies buzzing before you even take them out of the box. Ive had my iPhone 11 since 2020 I gave my kid my old 6s plus which I had since 2017 and he said it’s still working. He’s 13 I’ll take his word they last forever if you don’t beat them up They already are, aren’t they? The real problem is with the software updates that you’re eventually forced to download. I had the original iPhone SE, running perfectly fine for my needs (probably because I never updated it since I bought it). Eventually that huge security issue came up for Apple and I was essentially forced to get the latest update, which I did, and my phone was virtually unusable afterwards. Overheating, apps freezing, etc. im stilm using my samsung s9… it works great once i went ham and disabled like 99% of the bloatware apps that use up tiny percents of the battery, but all together add up to using like 50% more through the day.

the 4th of july red white blue shirt and I will buy this hardware can handle being perfectly fine for 5+ years… but its strategically paired with so much useless software, which all wants to phone home… thus eating battery almost hourly. My Pixel 3 is the best phone I’ve ever had. The only real reason to replace is that Google will eventually stop updating its security. I had the note 9 since September of 18, and just upgraded to the 20 ultra. Before the note 9, I had the note 3. Only replaced the note 9 because my dumb ass cracked the screen trying to put together some bookshelves for my grandma. Screwdriver rolled off the shelf and boogered up my phone. The damn thing didn’t come with directions, just a qr code that you had to scan to get the directions. Very frustrating. It still worked, and the cell phone company gave me credit for it at trade in.
