Okay. I’m just a corpse minus time. Does that mean I have the 4th of July Build Back Better Biden Gas Prices MAGA Trump T-Shirt Copy Copy Copy and I will buy this same rights as a corpse? In a million years, they won’t be able to tell the difference between me and a corpse. A corpse also has unique DNA. Simply saying two things have unique human DNA and are at different parts of the same trajectory doesn’t mean anything. Imagine someone were holding a two month old baby in one hand and a Petri dish with a fertilized egg in it (it has its own unique DNA and is on the same trajectory as you and I). The person tells you that they are dropping one of those two off of the top of a building. It wouldn’t take me 2 seconds to make that decision. The only moral choice is to drop the Petri dish. Anyone who would choose the other is, well, a psychopath. Because a child and a fertilized embryo aren’t the same thing. A corpse is no longer living and still we give them more rights than the unborn. It would be illegal for you to dig up a corpse and burn it for fuel but that’s what’s being done right now with the discarded aborted children. And an un implanted fertilized egg will never be born and if it is then it should be just as protected as any living person. We’ve long lived with people being charged with double homicide when a pregnant woman is murdered but take away the dignity of the label of life when the child is unwanted by the mother. Your rights shouldn’t depend on if you’re liked or wanted and people have always tried to dehumanize those they are trying to exploit.

Fertilized eggs are implanted into women as part of IVF. Let’s say that embryo was intended to be implanted in a woman. It’s just on a different part of the 4th of July Build Back Better Biden Gas Prices MAGA Trump T-Shirt Copy Copy Copy and I will buy this trajectory you and I are on? Why wouldn’t that be a person? I think the reason you deny it’s a person is because you, like everyone else, would never consider for one second dropping the baby. And you need to find a way to reconcile that. I support charging someone with murder if they attack someone and put that person into a persistent vegetative state: no chance to wake up, no brain activity showing thought, not able to breathe on their own. I assume you would oppose a murder charge in a situation like that? They are implanted into a uterus but that’s not the case you’re making. You’re talking about an embryo in a dish. I also would say the same about an ectopic pregnancy. It will never be a child. I would say that a petri dish with an embryo in it is far more valuable than an empty petri dish. So change the situation a bit and say i have a dish with an embryo in it and a puppy in the other I’m saving the dish.
