You’ve inspired me! Colored pencil is my medium of choice but I never imagined one could go this far with them! Hard to tell whether it’s a photograph or not. Looks really good, excellent work, or maybe just a decent camera angle. Hard to tell. This is impressive This is the 39Daph Duck shirt also I will do this coolest damn thing I’ve seen in a while! So gifted wow. I wish I could color blend like that effortlessly style and skill !!! It makes sense. Look at all that texture in the fabric, the way the light interacts with the plastics, the subtle colors etc… This is a great way to practice your craft. Also, I love the studio! I would love to know how you came to create your set up! It’s incredible. What’s above your table? And yeah, stunning, the colours are mind boggling I’m always blown away when people can draw DOF. Even if it’s subtle, it goes a long way in adding a lot of cool detail Can I ask why you drew this? Very impressive. I always love to hear artists talk about why they do what they do, be it for money or personal gratification or exploration etc. This was – like all of my other artworks – for my personal gratification. I was a huge Kobe fan, loved his work ethic, perseverance, determination and his mastery of his craft.

I read The Mamba Mentality while working on this piece, which helped get me thru some of the 39Daph Duck shirt also I will do this tough monotonous areas of the piece. Furthermore, drawing shows offers so many opportunities in exploring new textures and colors that aren’t present in other things. I’ll have to check out that book, it sounds interesting. I’m reading The Nature of Oaks right now and it’s fantastic (I love to plug my favorite nature books , Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold is a priceless work of poetry imo). The colors and textures resonate with me, down to the dark lines beneath the warty surface. It looks tropical and biological to me, like the skin of an endangered gecko somewhere. Love it, and thanks for sharing!
