it’s really about culture and attitude. I read about two urban planners, one canadian the 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt moreover I will buy this other swedish. They asked how winter was going. Canadian said it was terrible, Swede said theirs was great. They were talking about the same conditions in both cases. A lot of people complain about the weather, but since we can’t do anything about it, choose to find something to enjoy about it. We have been to the darkest depts of misery, with dread and hopelessness in the 18 hours of darkness. So we’re euphoric and extatic when the days get longer again. They propably ask us in the spring or summer In danish weather forecasts, they tell us everyday how much longer the day has become since the day before. It gives us lots of joy . And lots of really boring smalltalk. If you meet a dane, just talk about the weather. We fucking love it.

It has nothing to do with the 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt moreover I will buy this weather. It’s about the culture and the quality of life. Quality of life is the most important. I live in the United States and the quality of life is horrible in terms of quality time you get with your family or even oneself. Everything is always on the go, we don’t stop. Similar to living in a big city and smaller town. You are not wasting time driving everywhere, commutes are usually 20 minutes max anywhere you want to go.You have time, and time in life is much more meaningful and valuable then we think. We need time for ourselves and our loved ones and this means valuable time. In many of these countries that’s valued. Here in the U.S. it is not. It is looked down upon to take time off in many different ways.

I think the 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt moreover I will buy this WFH trend since Covid has changed the American experience a bit. I have been Hybrid/WFH since about 20110 and moved to 100% WFH in 2017. I know my life has been alot less stressful and we managed to get down to one car PMT and an ebike… So alot less driving, more $$ in my pocket and I get Wayyyyyy more time with family… YAY….. I find that having the time to take 10 mins and throw laundry in or tidy up the kitchen on breaks frees up the afternoon and weekends from all the odd things you have to get done. Good stuff I’m noticing the days are getting longer, and I’m feeling a sense of dread coming on. I don’t like summer at all. I’ve read about a theory, that long dark days enhances social behaviour, bonding people more together, and a more social life is a more happy life. i have no idea. i live in supposedly the happiest country on earth but i’m (more) miserable every winter. but the snow helps! it’s so much more brighter with it than without it, and i imagine that the netherlands has almost as little daylight, but doesn’t have snow to reflect the tiny amount of light for as long.

Because light lamps are cheap and all of the 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt moreover I will buy this things that come with living in the Scandinavian region are what really counts for happiness. Yes, it might be worth trying a different one. They do seem to help a lot of people! If it doesn’t, talk to your doctor about it. I have lived in the Netherlands and in the US, and I noticed a difference in how happiness is defined. Netherlands has extremely cloudy skies for a large part of the year. In the US, happiness is all about having something. Affording a large pick-up truck, affording a meal at Red Lobster, affording a trip to Disneyland with your kids, being a boss at work, being an entrepreneur. In Netherlands, happiness is about the state of being. Not having to worry about medical expenses. Not having to worry about leaving your bike unchained. Not having to worry about walking alone on a street at 2 am. Not having to worry about saving for kids’ college. And this is what Americans tend to not understand, since they are brought up in a very materialistic, consumerist culture. In Netherlands, happiness is about the state of being. Not having to worry about medical expenses. Not having to worry about leaving your bike unchained. Not having to worry about walking alone on a street at 2 am. Not having to worry about saving for kids’ college. I live in Texas and I’m pretty sure I have seasonal affective disorder for summer. It’s so depressing and relentless. Before I even realize it’s getting cooler my mood starts to improve, December-January is whe I really feel like “myself”.

Some information about 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt

Because the 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt moreover I will buy this dark is associated with being all cosied up snug, nice, quiet, and peaceful. The sun on the other hand you’re hot, sweaty, you smell, squinting trying to see anything, headaches from the brightness, get caught by a drive by reflection now you’re blind, more people are outside, being all friendly trying to talk to you, it’s awful. There’s absolutely zero upside to there being more sun than the minimum need for plants and stuff. I’ve lived my whole life in Scandinavia and it really doesn’t bother me at all, I guess we are adapted to the darkness Vitamin D supplements help if it’s a seasonal issue. I live in Germany, which has similar weather, and the one December where I skipped out on this, I got some really bad seasonal depression. However, within about a week of resuming the supplements, I felt a lot better I live in a place that has 7 hours of daylight during the winter, but its usually 7 hours of blue skies! Even though we get -40 Celsius temperatures, if you eat lunch outside you can usually get enough sunshine to feel pretty cheerful.
In contrast, I’ve lived somewhere where the 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt moreover I will buy this shortest day was 9 hours and the coldest temperature was -5 but because it was near a lake we would have endless weeks of cloudy weather. This was way harder for me to handle. Not everybody fells the same way about cold or dark weather, as a portuguese it would absolutely kill me to be 2 weeks without a sunny day but I have family that is living in the UK and absolutely loves it there (the kind of people that hate the beach and hot weather). I love to visit them and absolutely loved all european countries I visited, including all the Nordic countries but I think I could only live in the south, my favorites being Greece, Croatia, Italy, Spain and of course my shitty (I can say it I’m portuguese) little sunny Portugal. We lived for trips home and away to sunnier places, for holidays. When offered the chance to go back for work years later, we both said no.
What did help and make it bearable in the 2024 Playoffs MLB Postseason Los Angeles Dodgers logo shirt moreover I will buy this beginning were sun lamps, Verilux Happy Lamps, buying brighter light bulbs; adding more lamps to the darkest rooms, sitting near brighter windows for meals. Being outdoors as often as possible when it wasn’t raining too hard; avoiding eating or drinking too much or too heavily. Keeping to a routine sleep-wake cycle. Being active in the snow, when or if it came or stayed, and trying new sports with the kids. Spending time in museums or going to comedy shows or plays that during sunnier days, we never seemed to have time for. Making and taking time for friends and new hobbies. Go all out for seasonal holidays. Buy decent boots or all-weather gear to stay dry and warm. Go hike. Take a train trip. Gather positive people around you and halve the problem by sharing time together. Check in on each other and do things in groups, like raclette, fondue, hot pot, or skating or skiing parties vs. always doing things alone or sitting online.
