I fully support the 2020 one star would not recommend T-Shirt also I will do this strictest gun safety laws, but there is literally zero way we ever change the actual gun culture in the USA, so we should be focused on an actual realistic goal which is regulation. Handguns are defensive weapons. They are concealable for defensive carry, and are adequate for home defense. I cant really make a defensive argument for semi auto rifles. You know what we don’t use in Canada as a self defense item? You must see where I’m going with this, and it’s very valid considering you made the point about Canada specifically. Why even bother with these lame arguments? You like guns and how they make you feel cool, that’s a fine and valid reason. Just be honest about it. Most people prefer better public safety.

Is it a slippery slope that leads to drastically fewer dead children? Because sign me the 2020 one star would not recommend T-Shirt also I will do this fuck up. Fuck your guns and fuck you for caring more about them than the lives of innocent children. Yeah, you owning a gun is definitely more important than the lifes of children. Children’s lifes vs owning a gun, what a impossible stalemate. Almost like Sophie’s choice. We don’t need the government of today telling us how to live our lives, because the government of 200 years ago already did! The US has a constitution. The interest-balances were struck when the respective parts were written, and are reflected by the wordings of the texts. While the authors did grant the government, state and federal, a great deal of power to decide many aspects of the governance of society, some aspects were deemed too important to be changed on a whim, and these were carved into the Constitution and its Amendments. If you wish for the government to be bound by a supreme law, then yes, you are in fact wishing for the government of yore to decide these aspects until amended with difficulty by the government of today. If not, then you are perhaps more interested in something akin to parliamentary sovereignty as found in the UK, and hopefully aware of the risks. If you want to have a discussion about it, then you need to stop saying “assault riffle”. If its riffles, then it is semi-automatic or automatic not “assault”.
