Obviously there’s no guarantee but early AM and late PM flights are avoided by most parents (if they have any option) so they don’t mess up their kids napping/sleeping schedule and consequently deal with the fallout for days. I aim for flights between 10 am and 4 pm, ideally right over nap time so I could get my little one to sleep over the flight – but he also got Benadryl for flights due to motion sickness so sleep was guaranteed. As someone who’s flown many times without children and now has to, trust me, most of us are trying not to ruin your flight.

Completely understood, and I should clarify there’s no animosity coming from this direction. I constantly watch how hard parents try to keep things peaceful. Sometimes, there’s just nothing anyone can do to make such an unnatural experience comfortable for a baby.
