I had several iPods, and a Zune HD. Zune was always better in almost every way, much more intuitive and easier to manage. Shame that it suffered from bad marketing. iPods are long gone, and I still use the 100 Days Smarter First Grade 100th Day Of School 1st Grade Pencil T-Shirt but in fact I love this Zune! I like my music. I’m not looking for new music, so I don’t need to listen to the radio or Spotify or whatever. I’ve got my MP3s that I spent years curating. And I can just leave the iPod plugged in my car. I bought one for $500 32GB back when they first came out. It never worked right. I never bought another apple product again. The stopped selling the iPod because AirPods can connect to all new devices. They are also pushing Apple Music as a subscription based model over loading a device of already “purchased” music.

what do airpods have to do with anything? We could already connect headphones to any device. Whether earbuds are wired or wireless has no impact on whether a dedicated music device is still in demand I mean, Spotify had already started that trend. Talk to most teens now and I bet most of them don’t even think much about buying music, just streaming. I did look for a small device to work. Offline with Spotify a while back, but couldn’t find anything that wasn’t ridiculously overpriced. If you have Spotify, you could use the 100 Days Smarter First Grade 100th Day Of School 1st Grade Pencil T-Shirt but in fact I love this Mighty. I got two good years out of that device when I wasn’t able to use my phone at work. Still works too, best $40 I’ve spent for music. Still using my iTouch 3rd gen every day and still adding music to it after all these years. I had considered an upgrade, but had heard the newer gens do the same planned obsolescence thing phones do after a couple years. Ugh. This sucks. I actually bought the 256GB iPod Touch last year because it finally was big enough to hold my whole collection. I don’t want an iPhone, I just want a device that holds my entire music collection that integrates with iTunes smart Playlisting. No, I don’t want to use your streaming service, I want to be able to DJ with this music. I’ve only got another 30GB left before I run out of space again and I’m constantly buying new music for DJing. I guess I’m just going to have to buy a 512/1TB iPhone for three times as much and throw out the SIM card because I hate their smartphone platform. Yaaaaay. The microwave was invented in 1967, and is still being manufactured today. iPod’s already out the window after only 20 years.
