People worrying about this is understandable(from both sides of the 10 Years Of Being Awesome Retro 10th Birthday T-Shirt and I will buy this isle). But this decision possibly opens up other historical cases. Consult a lawyer on this I’m not one The right for the government not to interfere in medical decisions and the right to that privacy including decisions related to abortion. It punts the issue back to the states because there are no federal laws protecting or banning abortion. It removes the protection of medical privacy which opens the door for conservative states to pass additional legislation material banning the practice outright. Yes. A state like Texas has whats called a “trigger law” which means that when a specific thing happens, the law is triggered and goes in place. This trigger law is set to take effect if roe v wade is overturned and bans all abortions outright. A state like california has the ability to vote (because democrats have the governing majority there) to make it completely legal.

The issue is that this privacy statement that roe v wade establishes means that downstream things like contraception may also be in jeopardy if overturned. Since access and use to contraception has in part been made legal and available due to a womens right to private medi al care. Additionally, overturning something that has been held up in courts for 50 years is a huge deal. It means that other decisons that were made may not be safe either, like gay marriage. Sounds like, if this goes through, you might need to change your name from The United States to just The States as it doesn’t sound like it would be very united if different places have different laws. Making someone else’s medical choices and life choices should shouldn’t be up to the 10 Years Of Being Awesome Retro 10th Birthday T-Shirt and I will buy this government church or anyone else if they are capable of making those choices for themselves Doesn’t the Supreme Court need rare circumstances like a new case brought by a citizen and new evidence plus old to accept a new trial that uses Roe vs Wade to see is Roe vs Wade is legit or not?
